Volunteering

The Fishmarket receives funding for its exhibitions programme but could not survive without the support of volunteers.

If you would like to give a few hours of your time and gain experience of working in a gallery environment then we would love to hear from you.

Details of specific volunteer roles will be advertised on this page but help and assistance may be needed in the following areas:

• Gallery - invigilating exhibitions, greeting the general public and giving information.
• Exhibition Installation - Technical work relating to the exhibition programme.
• Events - Stewarding, box office and hospitality.
• Admin & PR - Assisting staff in the gallery office.
• Website - Uploading listings and maintaining www.fishmarketgallery.co.uk
• The Garden - taking care of our beautiful urban oasis!

We hope to offer you a rewarding and stimulating experience whether you are a student hoping to pursue a career in the Arts or are simply passionate about the project and its place in the community. Volunteers will also receive complimentary membership to NAC as well as discount in the cafe. Lovely!
